About Me

I discovered the Feldenkrais Method® while seeking recovery from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. I was blown away by how much better I felt from individual Feldenkrais sessions - it helped more than anything else I tried. My experience changed my perception of how pain can be reduced. I hope to bring the same healing I experienced to help others in my practice.
Inspired by this remarkable improvement, I began training in the Feldenkrais Method®. I earned certifications as an Awareness Through Movement TeacherCM and a Guild Certified Feldenkrais PractitionerCM, then interned at the San Francisco Feldenkrais Community Clinic in 2007.
I went on to practice Feldenkrais® at a wellness center in San Mateo and other locations on the peninsula. I studied with a variety of Feldenkrais Trainers and practitioners including Deborah Bowes, Paul Rubin, Julie Casson Rubin, Arlyn Zones, Dennis Leri, Karen Zindars, Cliff Smyth, Mark Reese, Michael Krugman, Elizabeth Berringer, David Zemach-Bersin, Chava Shelhav, Carol Kress, and Stephen Rosenholtz among others. I continue to further my education by working with mentors and colleagues in order to be the best practitioner I can be.
I have a special interest in coaching parents-to-be, new parents, and parents of toddlers in ways to help their children thrive and do their “work” of discovering as they explore the world around them and how to organize themselves to move within it. I see a variety of clients with goals ranging from reducing pain, recovering from surgery increasing mobility, improving balance, and more.
Having had chronic pain for over 30 years, I earned my initial and advanced certification in Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) in 2024. I’ve been fortunate enough to be mentored by several pioneers in this growing field of pain science. I pursue advanced studies of PRT as an active member of the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms and attended their 2025 conference in Boulder, Colorado. Understanding pain from the inside out as someone who has experienced neuroplastic symptoms myself, I have great compassion for others who are symptomatic.
Synthesizing Feldenkrais with PRT creates a bottom-up and top-down somatic approach to healing, which can be quite powerful. PRT tools such as Somatic Tracking work well with the hands-on Feldenkrais Functional Integration, calming the nervous system in different ways. In both approaches, my clients and I explore with curiosity, outcome independence, and self-compassion.
I am a Bay Area Native who grew up in the San Jose area and have been living on the peninsula in Belmont for over 20 years. I earned a BA in English and American Literature from Brandeis University.
